‘Bible code’ arms supplier sponsors Christian radio ministry
Edited on Mon Jan-18-10 06:48 PM by RamboLiberal
For years, many Islamic clerics have been arguing that the US's war on terror is a "holy war" against Islam. Now, those critics of US foreign policy have more ammunition to argue their point.

A Michigan supplier of sights for high-powered rifles has long been etching subtle references to Jesus on equipment it sells to the US military, possibly in contravention of army regulations that forbid religious proselytization.

Trijicon Inc., of Wixom, Michigan, describes itself as a company that "strives" to follow "biblical" morality, and the company is not shying away from its controversial and long-standing practice of enscribing references to New Testament passages on its rifle sights.

The news that Trijicon etches biblical quotes on its sights was first reported at the Accurate Shooter blog on Friday, and expanded upon by ABC News on Monday.

The company sponsors God's Great Outdoors, a radio ministry for Christian hunters on which the company's sales director, Tom Munson, has been interviewed. Trijicon's wordmark is listed as a "featured sponsor" on the radio show's Web site.

And some of the commentary at Accurate Shooter. :puke: alert.

I always consider whether my optics are manufactured by Christians or heathens. Christians have a much better track record when it comes understanding and promoting the quality scientific research necessary to give us an edge on the battlefield than companies run by atheists.

Oh those poor Islamic Terrorists Smitten by the Word of OUR LORD ROTFLMAO

Nice to know, but if the ACLU gets wind of it they will no doubt sue to have it removed from the ACOG’s lest any of our soldiers (my son included) be subjected to their heavy-handed proselytizing ;-(

I am a Christian and believe, from the bottom of my Heart, that anyone who has the ability to Conceptualize, Manufacture and Market any product has the right to place any information on their product, openly or codified (as this appears to be) that reflects their business model and philosophy. Its Ironic that the scriptures quoted actually confers an inferred blessing on the user, that they may see the enemy! Thats the whole point! You have to see’em before you can vanquish them. May the LORD BLESS our troups. Remember, GOD exists and HE is NOT an AMERICAN. HIS existence is not dependent on Your belief! We exist, as a Nation, by HIS GRACE. Without that Divine Providence, written about as far back as George Washington, WE are nothing!

I am glad that the Bible references are there. If these people were right with Jesus, they wouldn’t see the need to drive airplanes into buildings and saw the heads off tourists!!!! If only they would write Bible verses or put pictures of Jesus on my ammunition! We need to do our part (along with Israel). Thank God for Trijicon, and may we prevail in this epic battle!

1. Trijicon makes great sights.
I wouldn't care if it had shiara law printed in islamic down the side...
I'd be absolutely tickled to be able to put a Trijicon sight on my AR-15!

4. Guess this deluded person has never heard of separation of church and state?
I personally don't care what people believe until
they start using our tax dollars to perpetuate insanity.

7. Interesting choice of quotes by Trijicon.
They all reference light; and Trijicon specializes in low-light optics that do not need batteries.
