but the President wants it cut down to 10. Not a huge victory but better that 12. He was, originally, not in favor of giving them more that 7 but both chambers have 12 years in their bills.

I didn't like some of what Jane Hamsher said and I visit FDL all the time because I like it's layout and what it has to say. That hasn't changed. I notice an awful lot of black and white thinking here on DU, or black and white pontificating, if you prefer.

Take President Obama for instance. I'm really happy with a lot of what he's done. I'm really angry about a bit more of what he's done. I'm outraged by a couple of things he's done or not bothered to do. And it's going to take a ton more of that last category before I decide not to vote for him. It's quite a nuanced view and yet I'm called an Obama hater and a couple of months ago I was called an Obama cheerleader. I am neither.

Some apparently believe that credible allegations of malfeasance should be investigated, no matter who's in office- or where the chips fall.

Personally, I'd like to see investigations and prosecution of members of the previous administration who repeatedly and flagrantly violated the law- along with banksters, fraudsters other corporate criminals like the executives from Peanut Corp (who actually killed people).

Unfortunately, those appear to have been taken off of the table.
