Some idiot from Mass said he wishes Coakley was more likable

i think it was CNN or some national news station.

he went on about how he agrees with Coakley on the issues. he seemed kind of stupid and said he wishes she could just be more likable. this idiot didn't seem so likable himself.

i'm in California where there are a lot of stupid people who voted for Arnold because they get off on Arnold saying lines from terminator in his speeches. Mass voted for Romney so they have a recent history of doing stupid things.

and NY would probably vote for Ghouliani again if he ran for Governor.

a five minute discussion with the average voter is the best defense against democracy.

"There's something I don't like about her..." seems to be the meme.

I think that voter is casting about for excuses to support him.

If you live on this planet, you know that likability is a factor in getting elected.

If you support a candidate, why is wishing they were likable the thought of an "idiot"?

Regardless of whether he was voting for her or not, likability IS a real factor and I don't see a problem with stating that.

That said, there ARE people that most happen to find likable...or unlikable...but it's still almost completely subjective.

Not true - if you're in Cali and you remember the so-called "recall", you should know that Ahhnald "won" California like Bu$h "won" vs. Gore in Florida, and like Bu$h "won" over Kerry in Ohio. Election fraud, plain and simple.

ES&S, Sequoia and Diebold "elected" Ahhnald and "elected" Bu$h 2X. Not the "stupid people", though heaven knows there are enough of them too.

It was in a latino neighborhood at that time, they all thought he would be fun.

We volunteered a couple of hours this afternoon to make GOTV calls from the Organizing for America office in Chicago.

One woman was started to scream at me for being the umpteenth Coakley call she'd gotten, and when I apologized, she said it wasn't that. She said she just thinks Coakley is acting like a "bitch." She said, "And I'm a Democrat. I always vote for Democrats. ... etc. etc." I tried to politely talk her down without arguing with her. I mentioned the tension of the close race. I told her to take a break, put personalities aside, and think about whether she wanted someone who was going to support a tax on banks or oppose it, support health care reform or oppose it, etc. But I don't think in the end she will vote for Coakley. She just couldn't get past her opinion about "bitchiness."

Not all voters are rational.
