My husband is a registered Republican. He generally votes for the
Democratic candidate except in town elections. The local party is pretty moribund, so the supervisor and board members are actually selected during the Republican primary. He registers republican so he can vote in the primary.

So, today he got a survey and request for donations from the Republican National committee.

He had entirely too much fun giving his answers on the survey.

1. When I grew up in NW Iowa my whole family had to register repug
so we could have any kind of influence on local politics. Democrats did not run for local seats so all you had were repugs in the primary.

4. He may be registered Republican...
But he doesn't necessarily agree with them.

He's really a RINO...Republican in name only.

5. Check the first reply - my husband is a RINO so he can
have a say in local government. He just filled out a push poll/questionnaire from the Republican National Committee stating that among other things, yes, yes, he does want a health care system run by government bureaucrats.
