Apps due May 4 for Wellstone Campaign Management School!
Advanced Campaign Management School Applications Due May 4!

As applications to Wellstone Action's first Advanced Campaign Mangement School keep coming in, we remind everyone interested in this 4.5 day campaign management training that the deadline is Friday, May 4.

This Advanced Campaign Management School will feature some of the top progressive organizers and campaign managers in the country. Fresh off big wins in the 2006 election cycle, these trainers have years of experience winning elections. Confirmed trainers will include former Wellstone campaign manager (and Wellstone Action executive director) Jeff Blodgett, pollster Diane Feldman, strategists Will Robinson, Sujata Tejwani, Rudy Lopez, Erik Peterson, and other campaign experts who understand what it takes for progressives to win elections without compromising our core values.
Who should apply?

The ACMS is intended for current and future campaign professionals, and participants must apply to be accepted. Ideally, participants will have some direct electoral campaign experience (volunteer or paid), but we will also consider candidates with backgrounds in issue advocacy or grassroots organizing. We welcome applicants from campaigns of all sizes – from statewide federal races to legislative and local races.

The training will be held June 24-28 in the Twin Cities, Minnesota.
Applications are due May 4.

1. Camp Wellstone is the best.
I won't be doing this one, but I've been to two of their weekends in the past, and I highly recommmend them if you are thinking about becoming an activist, working on a campaign, or running for office. There is so much to know. You will come away from one of these weekends energized and with a load of new contacts and new ideas. A lot of the DUers that I actually have met in person I met at Camp Wellstone.

And its not just for Democrats. If you are Independent or Green or whatever, you are welcome there too.

I never knew much about Paul Wellstone till after he died, but we sure lost a great man.

2. I second that
Camp Wellstone does put on a great program, and it's intense, so they give you a lot of materials to take home and look over afterward.
