2. My letter to LA Times on token coverage

Why did articles of impeachment filed against Dick Cheney by Dennis Kucinich only warrant two briefs paragraphs?

Your headlines above the fold today are on legalized abortion in Mexico City, another story on Virginia Tech that is more personal interest than news, and a power struggle in the Baath Party, who aren't a major player in Iraq anymore. Are those more important than articles of impeachment against Cheney? How many front page stories did you do on impeaching Clinton?

When was the last time a vice president was impeached?

When were such serious charges raised against a vice president or president?

Don't you think this warrants a little more coverage given the tax dollars and lives the actions of the Bush administration has cost us?

3. my letter
and thank you for the links to the email addies!

"Why do the recently introduced Articles of Impeachment against sitting Vice President Dick Cheney only warrant two measly paragraphs? In glancing at your Front Page -- something I'm not liable to do again for quite some time with the way your "reporting" has been going -- I don't see any story that reaches the level of newsworthiness of our Vice President having an Impeachment proceeding started against him.

Perhaps if Cheney had some Whitewater connection, you'd warrant that worthy of more notice? Or if he was being investigated for fraternizing with a younger woman wearing a blue dress? Maybe that would go above the fold on the front page with large block letters? All of that certainly did with President Clinton. One wonders why the standard is different for Cheney.

If you want to be taken seriously as a news organization, start reporting the news."

5. How much should it have gotten?
Two paragraphs seems about right to me. It's a token gesture by a marginalized congressman.
