Kerry discusses Cheney and Iraq with Ed Schultz: "we don’t trust these guys...it’s just that simple"
John Kerry discusses Dick Cheney and the war in Iraq with Ed Schultz - April 25, 2007 (from JohnKerry.com):

Ed Schultz: Well, he wants a clean bill -- no dates, no benchmarks, so --

John Kerry: Well, sorry Mr. President. We don’t – you know, we don’t trust these guys. Ed, it’s just that simple. They’ve been wrong and wrong and wrong and wrong. And you can multiply that out, probably. Almost every single decision with respect to Iraq has been wrong. You can go back to Dick Cheney talking about Saddam Hussein having reconstituted nuclear weapons, to his definitive statement in 2002, 5 years ago, “Saddam is actively pursuing nuclear weapons at this time” -- boom! Wrong. He was wrong. He was wrong when he said 2 years ago, “We’ll succeed in Iraq, just like we did in Afghanistan.” Well, we have troubles in Afghanistan, and he said – we all remember, who has forgotten him saying that the insurgency is in the last throes? This was two years ago. You got more violence month to month than ever before. Why should we listen to them? They have been wrong, and we need – you know, they claim we’re interfering with their management of the war-- well, of course we are, because they are not managing it effectively.

1. Nice comments
It's nice to see him back up Reid, who has been attacked constantly on this.

4. Hopefully, Reid will see the difference when a Dem under attack gets back up from others instead
of joing in on the lies and pile ons against them.

GOPs back up their guys all the time. Some Dems are too busy jockeying for their own position and pile on with GOPs if they think it helps them personally.

3. He was good.
I liked this one. I would be hard-pressed to come up with another example of the word stupid said with as much scorn as it was in this statement.

The President keeps mischaracterizing it - as usual - misleading Americans - as usual - when he stands up and says to America, "This is a surrender bill." I mean, since when? What a stupid characterization of an important foreign policy decision.

Ya gotta hear it.

The Senator sounded just a bit pissed off, didn't he? I just listened to the interview.

10. I've always like Senator Kerry

And I was proud to have voted for him in 2004. How a little pissant such as the cartoon-monkey at 1600 could beat a man with actual vision and the understanding of the nuances of serious issues amazes me.

I was not happy after Chimp was put back into office in 2004. I think Kerry would have been a damned good President.

11. Does any body else find Ed Schultz ... smarmy?
I listen to him in his good ol boy mode and it seems he's repukulan lite.

He's not terrible or anything. I just don't think he's really a liberal DEM, more of a Libertarian that gets along with DEMS. But it bothers me that he calls himself America's favorite Liberal talk show host and I know he's not mine. He does seem to get the "business" side of it though.

I put his show on during lunch, but I used to get Al Franken.

I have to turn if off sometimes because I wind up yelling at my radio the way I do if *ush or Cheney come on.

This was a great interview. You can hear the contempt for the bush administration* in Kerry's voice. Love me some pissed off John Kerry!
