1. To quote someone from Firedog...
Just another self-satisfied white guy.

Nothing here, move on.

3.  I think he is a brick or two shy of
a full load. Awhile back Katrina Vanden Heuvel was on and he treated her like shit. The camera shot dropped low and I saw his hand waving in front of her. Fucking rude!

Most of his stuff is fluff.

9. He also treated Michael Moore like scum
all while appearing to be completely out of it.

5. I think he is a smart guy, but there just isn't much substance there.
He likes to talk and look "profound".

6. Mixed opinion
Sometimes when he's interested, the interviews can be worthwhile. I've no idea what he was thinking while interviewing Bush the other night. That was painful to watch.

To his credit, he does interview people you won't hear anywhere else. Some may be duller than lead based paint, but the ratio isn't bad.

7. I've come to like him more over the years
probably more to do with some really great guests; people who could have been interviewed by any capable TV personality of that sort and spoke well anyway. He used to annoy the hell out of me but he doesn't interupt his guests as much as he used to and now and then he really seems to communicate with some of them. Not often, but now and then.

8. He kind of goes with the status quo...
A little liberal (in a kind of annoying status quo way). Not very progressive though.

He does have some very interesting, very enlightening guests, though, and he can really do a good interview.

He's from the southeastern US where I'm from, so I can sort of relate to his very warm style of interviewing.

That's about all I can think of..

10. I love his program --I
find his interviews give the person time to answer
a relaaxed atmosphere. snd there is enough depth
that one can learn some information. He usually
gets very sharp and smart commentators when covering
political stories.

11. I try to stay awake to watch him every night
more often than not the guests are interesting and informed. Charlie does at least allow them to speak in complete sentences. I don't really give a hoot what Charlie's political stance is, I'm interested in what the guests have to say. I've probably learned a lot, on a variety of topics, from his show.

Now that Nightline has morphed into the National Enquirer, Charlie Rose and the Newshour are my only regular shows.

12. i do watch but i have 2 problems with him-1) Charlie ask the question and zip it
we understand you think no one has ever asked that question in quite the same way you do but please-keep it moving and 2) way too many corporate hacks for an entire hour, yes it's just grand to be friends with the heads of major corporations but we don't all find that as interesting or charming as you do.

I prefer his panel shows.

13. Not a very big fan.
I have to be REALLY bored to watch it unless it's someone really cool as his guest.
