Breast Feeding Mom Scolded By (iParty) Store Manager

(WBZ) BOSTON A Hingham woman claims she was scolded by the manager of an iParty in South Weymouth for breast-feeding in the store.

“He stood over me and said you can’t do that here,” Dr. Melissa Tracy told the Boston Herald. “I’ve never felt that badly before.”

Tracy said she decided to nurse her 2-month-old son Friday while shopping for her daughter's birthday party.

“Rather than let him become hysterical, I sat down on the floor and breast-fed him,” Tracy told the newspaper.

The Brockton cardiologist says she complained to management at iParty and received an apology.

iParty released a statement saying it regrets the incident and plans to include tolerance for breast-feeding in its managerial training.

I can't believe people are STILL this stupid! Can someone PLEASE bring them out of their caves? (although I'm sure the cave dwellers had very little food for their infants besides mother's milk, and I'll bet no one covered them with the fur skin of last night's dinner).

They apologized, incorporated into their training and changed their store policy.
Good for them.
