"Competence" should not even be all that big of an election issue.
The average 5th grader could do a better job that the current administration is and has been doing.

It annoys me when that word is always used whenever a pundit is talking about Obama or Clinton, yet they are the same people who, in 2000, did not see it as even a blip on the radar screen.

Pre 9-11...post 9-11.. makes no real difference. Bush has ALWAYS been incompetent, and yet he was "sold" to the country as "ready for prime time".

The truth is that every president is "tested" by something, and until this one, all have risen to the challenge because they actually were working for ALL the people, not just their PARTY.

The corruption of "Party-first" is what has ruined the country. George decided that he was president of "the people who voted for him"...and the rest of the country could just go pound sand.

Lack of hubris is a more important quality than anything, when choosing a president.

Kennedy is a prime example. He was worried about the missile crisis, and he went on tv to the whole nation and let us all know..He did not bluster and huff & puff. He laid it all out in a calm fashion, and even though we were all scared to death, we also trusted that he would make the right decisions.
