Republican Candidate for Gov of South Carolina calls poor people animals.

GREENVILLE - Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer has compared giving people government assistance to "feeding stray animals."

Bauer, who is running for the Republican nomination for governor, made his remarks during a town hall meeting in Fountain Inn that included state lawmakers and about 115 residents.

"My grandmother was not a highly educated woman, but she told me as a small child to quit feeding stray animals. You know why? Because they breed. You're facilitating the problem if you give an animal or a person ample food supply. They will reproduce, especially ones that don't think too much further than that. And so what you've got to do is you've got to curtail that type of behavior. They don't know any better," Bauer said.

1. The saddest part is that some people believe that......
and many are part of our Congress right now, not wanting the "Stray Cats" to get any health coverage.

It's a sickness these Bauer type folks have, and perhaps the fact that it runs so deep is why we Democrats, tend to attack Democrats more than the obviously out-of-reach (cause they are so far out there)Republicans.

See, this thread should have at least 20 dupes on various boards...and we should be calling for his resignation.... but instead, we focus on diminishing our own so much more....
and yet it is exactly these Republicans folks like Bauer that will end up winning the argument via the propaganda of corporation media and will have the voters ears!

3. Yep, he'll probably win big in SC...
just substitute "black" for "poor" and you pretty much sum up the 2010 GOP "Southern Strategy" (not much different than the old strategy, they just try to be a little more subtle - i.e. no "n" word this time).

2. That is amazing.
I can see some merit if it was carefully targeted. What if we were able to stop feeding poor, uneducated, angry white trash people from his region?

Edited on Sun Jan-24-10 04:24 PM by SoCalDem
start putting an "r" in his last name and asking his people to google Andre

a la the campaign waged against Ford...and how they morphed Democratic (adj.)
into democrat (noun)

and how they deliberately mispronounce & misspell, and then feign innocence.. two can play that game:)

7. I'd call Republicans "animals", but it would be a compliment.
