After all, this is a democracy where supposedly the wishes of the people are listened to and acted on. So far I don't see that this administration is listening.

My reason for this poll is to find out just how much abuse people in this party will take. With the real possibilities of a Democrat cutting Social Security and now this spending freeze how many people can vote for this man and still call themselves a sane Democrat.

That dime's worth of difference has officially shrunk to two cents.

You want real change, you have got to make it happen, one way or another.

Besides, don't you think that there is something fundamentally wrong with an administration that will sacrifice its own populace on the altar of war? I don't think I could handle all that so I do hope he runs for a second term.

Any politician who included "restore Habeas Corpus" in his Blueprint for America--was a candidate
who knew that our democracy was in trouble and wanted to change it.

Whatever has its talons around our country, is bigger than the Presidency.

I believe Obama is totally powerless to render any meaningful change. He wasn't even supposed to win.
Hillary was their inevitable one on the left and McCain was their boy on the right. Obama surprised
them and won Iowa and Hillary surprised them and came in third in Iowa.

I'm sure Obama has been told---Go too far and we'll destroy you. Does anyone actually believe that
the stock marketing tanking on the day that Obama announced tougher regs on banks--is really a coincidence?
These people can move markets and give a nod to their financial talking heads--who will ask a thousand
times a day, "Is Obama going to far with his liberal regulations on banks and how will his destruction of
the economy affect the middle class?"

Oh please. It's over. Either Obama wont' run, because he won't want to be a part of it--or he'll acquiesce and
do their bidding. Either way, we lose. It's so over. Anyone who doesn't see this need a big ol bowl of reality.

However the question is do we continue to use our votes to play their game, and thus acquiesce to Corporate America, or do we take the control of the wheel of change and do so peacefully? If we don't do that now, then it will happen later, only violently and destructively. I would rather avoid that scenario.

He's just destroying his base in almost a deliberate way. Fuck up the HCR, double down on the war, cut SS, freeze spending, on all these issues he is alienating large chunks of his voting bloc.

And as we all know of the art of polling, it's all based on samples. Granted, in a poll like this your margin of error is going to be large, but that doesn't mean that the poll itself isn't useful. But hey, thanks for kicking it up.

As bad and as disappointing as his first year has been, it's still light years better than Dubya's best year.

I gave as much money as I could afford and volunteered for Obama last time around, though, and I can't imagine I'll be motivated to do anything like that in 2012.

As things stand I will not vote for Obama in the primaries. Then again I didn't last time either. In the general election I will reluctantly cast my vote for the compromised center right kleptocratic nominee of the Democratic Party.

I think that it's time this country stopped acting in such an insane manner. We need real change in this country, desperately and quickly, not more of the same ol' same ol' faux change.

They got the chance to feel all morally superior, and in the process, they likely fucked over this whole country for a long time to come. And they'd probably do it again. And again. And again. Because, you know, it's really all about THEIR conscience. Nothing else.

What sickening selfishness. If we didn't have polls actually showing what chances a particular candidate has of winning, then I could understand.

But voting for someone we KNOW can't win? And doing it time after time?

THAT is yet another example of insanity, and doesn't earn anyone a medal for taking the high road.
