I can't tell you how much I want Barry to make it....
Now don't get me wrong, I don't know the President that well... But from the look in his eyes I know he can tell (and take) a joke. I know it from the look of his eyes when he turns towards his wife he's a man. I know it from the feeling he shows when he looks at his children he has roots. I know from the head face he makes before he slams that ball, that he can score! I know he has the heart of a lion. I love my President!

I want him to make it! I want him to win!! I want him to take our country to the best it can be!!!

Yet I fear he has surrounded himself with "yes" men. That he doesn't hear the people. That he has lost sight of his own vision.

But I believe.

If you are listening dear Barry,

Please don't lose sight of those who you have promised a better life. Do not be seduced by those who would have you lose your way. Come back to the simple message you have given, of hope and praise and direction.

Please succeed, and forget the others, for they would have you die of thirst. Please be pragmatic, leave the people who sabotage your plans behind. They have enough. Look to the rest.

I have faith in you, my President.

1. That's a pretty good letter,
even if since most forget to put President in front of Obama, for me it kind of rubs raw to call him Barry, due to the fact that he gets no respect.

But I'm sure that unlike me, he doesn't care much what you call him.

Anyways, that is a good and heartfelt letter.

2. Only his friends call him Barry...
I am not known to mince my words, but sometimes the kinship of friendly words is what is needed. Believe me, I use his name with nothing but respect. He is my President and I want him to win! I want our country win!!

But I fear he takes those around him too seriously. And I fear he has surrounded himself with those that would rather have his Presidency fail and our country fail rather than to help a President of the other party. Have fun with it President Obama. Be yourself. We are counting on you.

With all respect,

Scuba

4. How Ironic, my wife is already a science teacher who can't get a job...
The problem here is that there have been mass layoffs and there are way too many qualified science teachers competing for the few jobs that do open up. For every job that opens up, there are hundreds of applicants. That makes it very hard indeed to land that job. Not only that, but nepotism plays a huge part here, and we have no "ins" into that world...
