Conservatives are STILL buying bumper stickers complaining about Jane Fonda!?!
That tells me three things:

1) Their memory is long and unforgiving.
2) If they have to reach all the way back to Jane Fonda, then we're not giving them enough really good fighters that make them REALLY angry anymore.
3) I am fully justified in buying that "Watt, Me Worry?" bumper sticker after all.

12. She traveled to North Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
The pro-war people called her Hanoi Jane. She also married Tom Hayden - I believe he was one of the founders of SDS.

She was extrewmely active in the anti-war movement during Vietnam.

7. They "forgot" that Clinton left Bush43 a surplus ...
they "forgot" that Bush43 used that surplus as his reason for tax cuts ...

they "forgot" that Bush43 used the recession as his reason for tax cuts ...

they "forgot" that Bush43 pushed for the bank bailout with no strings attached because it had to be hurried through or else Armageddon to the Ragnarok would have come to the U.S. economy ...

So, yeah ... they "forgot" the last 8 years under Bush ... everything's Obama's fault, since November 2007 ...

6. Conservatives still drudge out "Teh Red MENUHCE" terms.
"Communist, Socialist, Marxist, Leninist" . . . unbelievable. They're still fighting the Cold War. They still think Brezhnev, Chernenko or Andropov are still in power. They don't seem to get that most people under 45 don't really care about that sort of thing. I just don't even take shit like that seriously.

9. They have made a go of replacing Commies with Islamofascists...
They need an enemy to motivate themselves. The fear and anger keeps them going.

24. Replacing? They CONFLATE them!
Remember the Soviet Union flag? That was never a hammer and sickle, it was a crescent and star! And Iranians have pictures of Karl Marx everywhere! You know, the big-bearded guy... with a turban.

13. Jane Fonda
My father was never a conservative. He served 3 terms as a State Delegate in MD and worked on many Democratic campaigns.

However, he was a Vietnam Vet that hated Jane Fonda for her actions in the war.

I will never understand, but I have never served in war. I am a progressive, but I think that what Fonda did was wrong. I forgive those that hate her for her well intentioned, but hurtful actions.

I only hate her for such things as On Golden Pond and Agnes of God.....bleech.

25. I'm so old, I was in that antiwar movement and Fonda made a big mistake
by posing for a photo on a anti-aircraft gun while on a trip to (then) North Vietnam.

BTW, she has long since said she regretted doing that.

21. Great strategy,
The main conservative issue is no change. How better to do that, to keep reminding their base, Hollywood liberals especially Jane Fonda, ruined LBJ and Nixon's war. How better to cheat the Vietnam Veteran out of their benefits by focusing the anger over their broken bodies by blaming her.
