Yet we're going to be cutting that sort of "discretionary" spending. This is absolutely outrageous. We're following the Soviet model of self destruction, driving the ordinary person into poverty in order to prop up our military.

If there is going to be any cuts in spending, then first and foremost those cuts need to come out of the military budget. If we end these wars, we can cut our military spending in half and still remain the biggest badass on the planet.

This is not a wise course that Obama is taking.
