Whipping up the right didn't turn out enough votes for the GOP.
...You guys think all of a sudden, since Obama's the President, the media is on our side? The same media we wouldn't believe if they told us the sky was blue for the past eight years?

They did their level best to whip up the right-wingers in this country for '08. But there weren't enough of 'em to put McCain and Stupid in the White House.

So now they're going to whip up the left.

You think the reason we're seeing so many "Obama screws the left" stories is because suddenly the media is doing their job? That suddenly they've decided to become real journalists? Please. Nothing has changed in that landscape.

Simple strategy. Not enough on your side, divide the other side. Use the tools you already have to do it. Make us go after each other exactly as we are seeing here at DU and they can win an election or two.

We may have seen it happen once in Massachusetts. We will see it happen elsewhere if we don't wise up.

1. You may want to check a calendar.
This isn't 2008... and they haven't had problems turning out the votes... mostly since Bush left the top of the party.

3. Which happened in 2008.
Since then how many elections have taken place? Your post makes no sense to me. I only had one cup of coffee this morning, though. Are you saying the media is suddenly on our side?

7. Of course they're (generally) not on our side.
I, for one, however, don't need the media to interpret events for me.

Also, the policies stand by themselves, irrespective of elections. I'm fully aware of the double standard the media uses wrt the different parties but sometimes they accidentally get it right. That being said, I miraculously still retain a modicum of hope.

10. So they're "accidentally getting it right"
...at a time that benefits the GOP? And they accidentally got it wrong also at times that benefitted the GOP?

Fascinating.

11. You'd have to name specific issues to get a proper response.

13. Tell me what you think they're getting right, right now.
We know they were wrong on Iraq. Many of them deliberately so.

Obama really is screwing the left.

If not screwing, at least copping a feel.
