2. ACORN gotcha man among four arrested for attempting to bug Mary Landrieu's office
Edited on Tue Jan-26-10 04:20 PM by chat_noir
The FBI, alleging a plot to wiretap Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu's office in downtown New Orleans, arrested four people Monday, including James O'Keefe, a conservative filmmaker whose undercover videos at ACORN field offices severely damaged the advocacy group's credibility.

FBI Special Agent Steven Rayes alleges that O'Keefe aided and abetted two others, Joseph Basel and Robert Flanagan, who dressed up as employees of a telephone company and attempted to interfere with the office's telephone system.

A fourth person, Stan Dai, was accused of aiding and abetting Basel and Flanagan. All four were charged with entering fedral property under false pretenses with the intent of committing a felony.

A witness from Landrieu's staff said O'Keefe was present in the office and claimed to be "waiting for someone to arrive."

48. His religious associations are very relevant
He and his female cohort, Hannah Giles, are part of religious right organizations aimed at indoctrination college students. YAF, the Leadership Insititute, Morton Blackwell, Richard Viguerie as well as Giles' own father, Doug. These are people infamous for teaming up with David Horowitz in attempting to demonize Liberal college educators.

He's all yours Faux, don't let him down!

http://pillageidiot.blogspot.com/2004_12_01_archive.html

"Stan Dai, senior editor at the GW Patriot, a conservative newsmagazine, said CNN reporters don't understand that some people oppose liberal issues like gay marriage and joked that some people call it the "Clinton News Network."

Dai said Fox News commentary shows such as "The O'Reilly Factor" are not unbiased, but Fox is a "legitimate news organization" with objective reporting."

if they were able to do this successfully (i.e., not get caught) at any other Democratic lawmakers' offices.

This is something that should be investigated ASAP.

They didn't just target one ACORN office.

http://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2010/01/acorn_gotcha_man_arrested_for.html

"Also arrested were Joseph Basel, Stan Dai and Robert Flanagan, all 24. Flanagan is the son of William Flanagan, who is the acting U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana, the office confirmed. All four were charged with entering federal property under false pretenses with the intent of committing a felony."

Hmm, interesting connection?

This really is Watergate 2, and it should be treated as such. I have no doubt there is a massive conspiracy behind it. The Aspens are all connected by their roots.

Yep, it's looking like it.

That would make an interesting word cloud, wouldn't it.

Still remember when O'Keefe was being depicted in articles as an "independent film maker" instead of the Republican operative he clearly is. I remember I found a link where he was at a conference with other Republicans (including Liddy, I think) and at one point was on a panel of a workshop and Gannon was in the audience and asked him a question.

All those Aspens, indeed.

http://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2010/01/acorn_gotcha_man_arrested_for.html

At that time, the staffer, referred to only as Witness 1 in the affadavit, observed O'Keefe positioning his cell phone in his hand to videotape the operation. O'Keefe later admitted to agents that he recorded the event.

Wonder what all he taped on it. Would be very fitting if that is used as proof against him now.

Amateur field engineers.

You don’t need to expose yourself like this to listen in on phone calls or bug an office.

I’d have sent a few nice trojan horse devices in via mail....
They would not have been smart enough to figure it out...not in Landrieu’s office.

Good idea. Wish it had worked & you’d caught her red handed. Don’t get caught next time.

I mean... they’re innocent until proven guilty - maybe this is all some mistake..

I smell a big stinking ACORN rat here.

As is well known, the Democommies are after O’Keefe. I wouldn’t put a frame up past them that may involve the FBI.

After all, the FBI is working for President Zero...maybe a certain FBI agent wants a promotion. A frame up of O’Keefe would certainly advance a personal agenda.
