Poll question: Have you read Sarah Palin's book
.
.
.

I just finished it.

As a weekly visitor tour local library, I managed to be the first to sign it out.

I have seen hundreds of posts on Palin, I imagine there are thousands - and most are negative.

I am not challenging the validity of posters views or comments, but I am interested in how many managed to or plan to read the book.

I'll admit there were parts of the book that I disagree with, but on the whole I found the book to be - -

interesting.

So I thought a poll may be an idea.

DU'ers would make up half of her audience.

"Keepin' the enemy close" don'tcha know...

14. I am. "Independent" acquaintances who were starting to come around read it, have reverted
have raves about the twit now, about how poorly she was treated, how everything was spun against her, poor little sawah, etc. So, I asked if I could borrow it to figure out how to counter this crap. I know, fighting an uphill battle, but still.

44. Excellent point - reading it "to figure out how to counter this crap"
.
.
.

Reading someone else's synopsis doesn't give you your own informed opinion.

My thoughts on my reason for reading it was that Palin, or someone like her COULD be the next leader of the USA.

I wanna know how people like her think, even if it infuriates me.

After Bush, I believe anything is possible down there - -

and heck, it ain't just down there, it's spreading -

How do we justify our Harper sleaze . . ?

oh my . .

31. OK - I'll tell you a wee bit
.
.
.

I was sorta surprised that there was not more slamming of Democrats; oh yeah there is some, but it's not a theme in the book.

I was also surprised that there was not a whole lot of defensive stuff about the "goings-on" during her campaign; again, there is some, but once again it is not a pervading theme throughout the book.

There's a few surprises in there - I think it's worth a read for those with an open mind - mind you, there's more than a few spots in there that will really piss off many, especially Democrats.

The book pissed me off more than a few times, but I don't regret reading it.

AND, if your library is in a Democratic area, I don't think the waiting list would be very long . . .

And no, I wouldn't buy it either.

.
.
.

Knowing what the "other guys" say and think is a good defense IMO

I do not discount the possibility that Sarah, or someone like her could be the next CIC.

Best to know how they think methinks . .

And if indeed the book is full of lies as some claim, would be good to know if she ever gets back on the "ticket" so to speak.

I cannot help remembering the reigns of the BushGang - and their legacy is not yet over

(sigh)
