Poll question: Have you ever contributed to a political campaign?
Just curious. I contribute to people who I believe will vote with common sense, not necessarily their party. Needless to say, I have contributed across the board.

I gave more money to John Edwards than anyone ever, though. What a fool I was.

2. I agree with you but...
I've sincerely (no snark) never cared for a GOP presidential candidate. Those are the only campaigns I've donated money to, although I did writing & freelance work for local GOP candidates I believed in.

I got taken in by the last two candidates I contributed to.

One was that asshat Harold Ford Jr.

I'm not going to mention the other one.

7. Many times, every chance I can for the best candidate.
Not because of their party, because of their principles and goals. They have only been Democrats, but that's not the reason I have given what I could. There've been lots of Democrats I haven't given a penny to, and never will, even in my own district.

8. Time and money, or just money?
I've done both, and it's always been to a Democratic candidate. If I don't think the Democrat will vote with common sense, I won't support them (I'll probably vote for them, though--there have only been a couple of exceptions there). It's been a long time since I've seen a Republican I thought would vote with common sense, since to me there entire ideology of the party it antithetical to common sense.

And I'll campaign AGAINST anyone, Republican OR Democrat, who is against gay equality.
