Well, I'm off to OZ! Any Aussie DUers want to get together while I'm visiting?

Leaving for Melbourne today to visit my youngest--He married a sweet Aussie girl and is now expatriating at age 25!

It's my first time in Australia-- any suggestions? I'll be there 10 days,

9. that's the way my son Bret was, growing up--it was a fascination

and then he trekked down there to meet Melissa after a couple of years chatting on the internet.They've been "togehter" for 8 years now--the interwebs work! They finally got married this year, and I'm going down for the Australian version of the wedding party.

Most East Coast routes to Asia, or Australia have a stopover here.

10. I'm traveling West from Denver through Los Angeles

so a Dubai stopover is probably not in the cards unless I get very very unlucky. Kinda wish I never saw "Lost."

A former boss (and a good friend) is Aussie and he constantly talked about the loveliness of Australia and its people. I had wanted to go before that too, but after hearing stuff day in and day out...more so. Sure you are in for a great time. They seem to be exceedingly friendly people, if my fromer boss is any example........

enough..my daughter married an Aussie from Melbourne. They met at the University of Oregon and have been married for 16 years with 3 children and are living in Portland Oregon. My sweet Aussie SIL..they've been back many times to see his folks.

Have so much fun at your son's and daughter inl's reception and seeing Down Under!
