VP Biden backs Obama's criticism of Supreme Court's ruling removing campaign spending limits

Vice President Joe Biden is assailing the Supreme Court's decision removing limits on corporate and union donations to political campaigns, calling it "dead wrong."

Biden was asked Thursday whether it was appropriate for President Barack Obama to criticize the ruling in the presence of members of the high court who attended his State of the Union address.

He said Obama "didn't question the integrity of the court," but rather its judgment. On ABC's "Good Morning America" Biden said, "A lot of these multinational corporations are owned as much by foreign interests as they are by domestic interests. I think it's an outrageous decision."

Justice Samuel Alito, who voted with the majority in the 5-4 case, winced when the president second-guessed the ruling.

1. I'm really glad they are pushing back on this. Hopefully it will raise
awareness about how serious and harmful this decision is. I fear there are too many people who just don't understand the potential impact.

3. His point that the multi-nationals are owned by foreign interests is a key point
that I haven't heard discussed much in regards to this decision. Good for Biden for putting that out there!
