“I wont donate to help the Haitian people because they are poor.
They should have gotten work and kept themselves out of poverty and built stronger houses.”

This, of course is the rationalization of the tea baggers, rube-licans, gullibles, or right-wing authoritarians for being selfish.

Now they WILL donate to the rich because they idolize the rich. They equate success with money. George W. Bush was successful because he had lots of money. The fact that the man didn’t do a decent days work in his life is immaterial to the gullibles. The fact that his daddy’s friends gave him millions to buy his daddy’s favor is lost on these rubes. To these idiot, followers the rich can do no wrong. Laws don’t apply to the rich but laws must be meted out harshly on the poor. Bush joked about the over one hundred people put to death in Texas while he was governor. Some clearly didn’t get fair trials, but to people like George, it didn’t matter because they were poor and therefore worthless.

Back to the rube tea baggers. Most consider themselves Christians which is quite ironic. Can you picture Jesus turning his back on the poor? Blaming them for not building better buildings? Can you see Jesus idolizing the rich? Supporting tax breaks and subsidies for the rich while people are living in their cars and lining up at foodbanks? When the tea baggers get to heaven, they will be surprised to find the gate closed. They will have to join Bush and Cheney in Hades.

1. As the Rude Pundit wrote about what he'd like to hear at the SOTU ...
He announces that he's sending tea partyers to assist in the rebuilding of Haiti as part of his jobs program. The President says, "It will also be an education program in what it's like to live without government."
