FREEPER BAIT on Yahoo: Why are republicans soft on Gypsies?

I posted this to see what they would say:

and remembered that business about the "secret Jews" who survived the Inquisition by being so secretive about being Jewish that in some cases they kept up the rituals in private but didn't know what they meant.

I was having my class do an assignment on propaganda, and read an excerpt on how to do it by Hitler.

This guy came up to me and said, "That Hitler had some good ideas."

I said that just because he knew what he was talking about on propaganda, didn't mean everything else he did was good.

He said, "yeah, but sometimes people need a strong leader."

And I said, "But you don't think that thing he did with the Jews was right do you?"

and he said, "Well, maybe...I don't know."

But the guy who agreed about the gypsies was from New York.

...how they would come in to town and scam people at their shows, then rob people at night, etc.

I took it with a grain of salt, just as I did her stories about how "the nigras were better off under slavery because their masters took good care of them".

I'm sure there still is a great deal of residual bigotry against gypsies today.
