They know that most Americans-liberal, moderate, conservative, libertarian, whatever-are actually more bound by common values and a belief in democracy and the power of the People than they portray us as.
At the end of the day, the corporations have no political ideology. It's all about profit. They hedge their bets between which corporate party stooge, Democrat or Republican, can capture the most votes.
Why do you think Bush had 30 percent approval ratings? Because the media had brainwashed enough people so that if they really knew the truth, his approval ratings would be closer to 5 percent.
Most Americans want the same things, I'm convinced. But the powers that be-the tyranny of the elite minority-don't believe in democracy. So they have media outlets to brainwash and polarize over 95 percent of the country so that they can keep going to the bank.
As Obama stated in 2004, we are one nation-the United States of America. But the corporate overlords use divide-and-conquer tactics to keep us fighting amongst ourselves when the real enemy-THEM-is ignored.
