Ohio Supreme Court sets 3 execution dates

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio Supreme Court has set three execution dates, including one for a death row inmate who says he's innocent.

The rulings put the state on pace to execute a record number of inmates, with executions now scheduled monthly through September.

The court set a July 13 date for 37-year-old William Garner, sentenced to die for setting fires that killed five children in Cincinnati in 1992.

The court set an Aug. 10 date for 38-year-old Roderick Davie, sentenced to die for killing two co-workers at a Warren distribution plant where he was fired in 1991 two months before the shootings.
