Edited on Thu Apr-26-07 06:34 PM by Beelzebud
Seems like he's just there to trash the democrats. Who the hell is this guy, did he sponsor the debate or what?

32. He was a Senator from Alaska
Single-handedly ran a five month filibuster against Nixon and the draft. Read 4100 pages of the Pentagon Pages into the Congressional Record because he said his constituents deserved to know about it. He's a real hero for the Democratic Party, imo.

44. Alaskan senator from 1968 to 1981.
He lives in Virginia now, but he still sounds like an Alaskan -- feisty and direct. I love that.

18. I'll go with that, he was the first
to have the opportunity to out and out say what a lot of us have been thinking. Before you stone me, think about it, he was on national television and said " the ideas that to leave Iraq will make the deaths of the troops unworthy unless we finish the mission is bullshitt." I paraphrased there, but I am going to email his office and give him an "attaboy"

20. It seems like the others are ignoring him now, but if there is
enough internet noise about him over the next few days (of course the MSM will ignore him) and if some money flows into his coffers he may in fact change the tone of the primary which could only have a positive effect on the current politics of the situation.

He's someone the white male swing voters in the South and mid-West would actually consider. He IS from Alaska.
