I would be willing to bet that this mass exodus that the homophobes are predicting from the military if DADT were repealed would be an unnoticeable trickle.

1. Well you can't exactly just "quit" if you don't like a change in policy of the military.
You're kind of stuck. Hell, if you could just walk away because you didn't like the policy there'd be a hell of a lot fewer casualties of war.

3. Why just the military???
Why aren't there threats of quitting jobs from others than military personnel? I don't get it. There are open gays/lesbians working in any and all industries and I haven't seen a news report yet about people quitting their jobs because they work with one of the "gays". Give me a break.

7. How many quit BEFORE DADT?
I think the armed forces will survive this.

8. I don't...not even a young man with very Conservative politics..
but then, one of his brothers is gay, so he probably wouldn't raise a stink without being a hypocrite.

9. Nope, I'm sure they will take care of it "in house".
Yes, that should sound very ominous.

10. FYI
The ban on gays in the military was there long before DADT was enacted. What DADT was supposed to do was stop recruiters, etc. from asking lower rank military about their sexual orientation. Ending DADT is not going to end the ban on gays in the military.
