36,000 kids molested by two men? 152 year sentence. Good.
Prolific child molester gets 152 years

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- A man believed to be one of the most prolific child molesters in U.S. history was sentenced in San Jose, Calif., Monday to 152 years to life in prison.

Dean Schwartzmiller is expected to appeal his conviction and sentence for molesting two 12-year-old San Jose boys in 2005, the San Jose Mercury News reported.

....

Schwartzmiller had previously been arrested on more than 80 counts of child molestation in five states. He was convicted on nine counts, but four were overturned upon appeal, the newspaper said.

Police arrested Schwartzmiller in May 2005 at a San Jose apartment he shared with another convicted child molester and found notebooks containing the names of 36,000 children with codes next to their names, presumbably describing how the children were abused, the Mercury News said.

Keep that bastard in a jail cell.

33. 36000 KILFs perhaps.
(Kids I'd Like to...)

Breaking that code would certainly be worth doing, but I suspect that that list is more of a wish list than a catalogue of activity.

Even as show-ride attendants grabbing a handful of every second child's backside it would be next to impossible to amass such a list of "kills" and getting all those names would be even less possible.

I've done a little carnie work and those people are absolutely paranoid on this subject because of their close proximity to children. Voyeurism might be possible in that industry, but anything seriously "hands on" just ain't credible.

My best guess, given the fact that they have 36000 names, is that they've somehow gotten hold of a child welfare list of molested kids, which they might have been using as a "shopping list" from which to chose potential victims. And that is where I'd spend my efforts in an attempt to "crack" their code.

5. How could anyone abuse that many?
365 days/yr, lets say took 5 days off since that makes #s work better. At 1 kid/day, would take 100 yrs. At 10 kids/day only 10 yrs. Lets pretend 3/day=30 yrs. How old is this person?

12. The idea is ludicrous.
What is it that makes people's common sense go out the window?

Is it the nature of the crimes?

Do people really have that hard a time with numbers?

That would get the numbers up there. I want people to look at others for what they do, as this is usually bad enough. Sounds like a not very nice guy regardless.

16. It's not possible that he molested that many kids
Let's assume he's 70 years old, if he's younger, then it's even more impossible. Let's say he started molesting kids when he was 15, again, a very conservative number. So he had 55 years to molest 36,000 kids. That's 20,075 days of his life he could have been active. That means he molested AT LEAST one new child every single day of his life and managed to slip in an ADDITIONAL 15,925 kids in his spare time with no days off for any reason, illness, previous jail time, etc.

It just doesn't add up folks. Color me skeptical on the large numbers. They must have been for some other purpose. Perhaps he's scoped out that many and listed what he wanted to do with them if he got them or something, but he just didn't have the time to molest that many kids.

They used to be better than this. Surely someone questioned that number before the story got out the door. Not these pricks don't deserve to rot in jail for the rest of their lives, but this is still blatant exaggeration.

38. There is no way
Let's pretend that each of them molested half the children in the book, and he's 45 years old.

There are about 16,437 days in 45 years, including leap days.

Half of 36,000 is 18,000, so assuming that Mr. Schwartzmiller started molesting children on the day he was born, he would have had to molest two children a day for well over four years plus one kid per day, every day of his life.

That, my friends, is productivity. I remember when I was a real little kid--one that was less than a year old. I distinctly recall being very interested in eating, sleeping and filling diapers, not pedophilia.

Let's assume it's his own book and his roommate had nothing to do with it. We are talking about a guy who molested four different children per day, EVERY DAY, for well over 25 years. At that rate, you don't have time for food or sleep, just molestation and finding all new children to molest--note that this is 36,000 unique names.

It's upthread...this simply must be his "36,000 Boys I'd Like To Pork." Because NO ONE can possibly do this. There's not enough time in the day, or kids in town.
