The issue in the OP, the post you responded to, was why Palin gets paid attention to despite having lost a race for VP, and being a failed gov and mayor. You said it was due to her being white. That is nothing short of absurd as I showed in my post which listed whites who ran for and lost the Presidency who haven't gotten any attention whatsoever. Incidently, I think any male candidate for either VP or President who had her record in college would have been raked over the coals and never heard from again unless the ticket happened to win. Think Quayle, who was probably smarter than either her or Bush but was, thanks to his VP stint, a national synomym for idiot and literally went nowhere in 2000 when he ran for President.
