People in the Palin-Bush wagon vote their insecurities--they will oppose anyone who makes them feel inadequate--rather than
voting what logically will help them. Obama may sense this in his recent attempts to turn "populist." A number of commentators
have said they hope he doesn't keep the act going as they LIKE the fact that he is "an elitist," i.e. intelligent, well educated, informed etc.
I hope so too because when he got elected he set a higher bar--a bar, however, that a large sector of the American population
would rather crawl under than climb over. Ergo, the popularity of Sarah Stupid.

I actually laughed when he was running for governor - what a fucking moron - I will forever remember the chill that came over me with stunning clarity when it hit me - "OMG they're gonna make him president."

I just could not fucking believe that they were crowning that idiot Governor, and yet I watched it happen right before my very eyes. I felt like the little kid in "Invaders from Mars", who slowly watches the whole town fall under the sway of the aliens and can't do anything about it.

And then they went and made him President.
