Poll question: Hillary, Condi & Sarah, a brief comparison
Watching Candi Crowley interview our current Secretary of State, I was struck by how three famous women could be so different.

Condi? Mean, opinionated, demanding and shallow. While she may have been a quick study, and was certainly loyal to her president and his vice, she was in no way a deep thinker. On the foreign stage, the word among career diplomats was that she was often befuddled by subtlety, although while on message, she could hold her own. When facing a surprise topic, she often reacted with angry emotions, aka, hissy fits. Her shallowness was what probably got her promoted in the first place.

Hillary? Wow. Her grasp of politics, policy and diplomacy is like night and day, compared to Condi's. You can tell that there is a truly serious and professional brain working. As importantly, if Hillary does not have an answer, she has the confidence, understanding and honesty to say so. Watching her converse with Crowley was a joy. (and frankly, I have to admit that Crowley did a fine job on the interview. Prepared, respectful, and thorough - except about the wedding dress)

Which leads us to the Quitter from Wassiller, Sarah Palin.

I watched her Tea Bagger presentation, as well as the hand bit Q&A a few times, and each time I watched, the more I became convinced that this woman is a moron. Driven, arrogant, a fighter, and mean? Sure, but she has the understanding of stump. I read that she is getting daily briefings on domestic and global issues. Hard to tell, if true. In terms of intelligence and native brain power, if Hillary were Venus, Condi would be Mars. Sarah is Pluto. A fake, with baseless pretensions of being a real planet.

Sarah's speech was light on facts, heavy on attacks, which is probably a juicy lump of meat for the hyenas that make up today's Tea Baggers. What I cannot fathom is how a whiny, stupid, obnoxious idiot can be so popular in certain circles.

Is America so myopic, so easily fooled?

1. Yes America can easily be fooled
With a RW M$M and the collective IQ going down with each generation, it is real easy to pull the wool over their eyes.

When FOX is the most trusted news channel, it says something about how stupid Americans are.

Not sure what you want in the poll.

7. Yes, although I did not vote her in the primaries, she is extremely intelligent.

12. Ditto. I never doubted her intelligence nor her understanding
of the world (and the world politic).

3. I had to go with "also", because that one has always cracked me up.
And to your question, yes. Yes, America is that easily fooled. Without a doubt.

4. yikes. I fear for this country.
can you imagine how she would rule as president? Her lack of knowledge, her apparent back stabbing character (according to those who know in Wasilla) and her ability to convince herself that she is right, no matter what the facts are, yikes.

5. I believe it was Bill Maher who said,
"She's like Bush without the brain." Yep, that's :scared:

6. Other ...32% of Americans need to be masturbated by stupidity. Sarah is the queen.
No facts needed, just a wink and a nod.

8. Palin's name should never be mentioned in the same category as these intelligent women
Mention her with Bachman, Taitz, and her other peers.

9. Yes, at least some Americans can be fooled.
But please don't insult Pluto. As someone said upthread, SP isn't even in the same galaxy ... nor is Condi, but Condi can at least speak English.
SP is more like a black hole. Vapid, empty and dangerous ...

10. Hillary Clinton shouldn't be named in the same sentence as Palin...
And how to all those republican women that have worked their way up in the party, feel about Palin?
I would imagine they are more incensed than we are.

11. I never liked Rice, but I never felt like the she was stupid. I think she bested Bush in the brains
dept really. She just had terrible beliefs. Palin, though, seems like an idiot. Someone who got where she is by looks and winks and giggles--just the kind of woman that an intelligent, hard-working, driven woman would hate, I would think.
