Palin: Obama could win votes by playing 'war card'
Source: Denver Post

WASHINGTON—Sarah Palin says that if President Barack Obama "played the war card," he could improve his chances of being re-elected.

Palin says that declaring war on Iran or showing stronger support for Israel might convince voters that Obama is tougher than they think on national security and doing all he can to protect the U.S.

This is beyond immoral: advocating going to war in order to get elected.

Will the Repukes ever find a bottom to how low they'll go?

2. I'd like to read a direct quote from Palin on this.
That article is paraphrasing, and I'd be curious to know precisely what she said.

Don't get me wrong, the implications of what she said totally lead to the conclusion that she's suggesting Obama go to war for political purposes.. but I'd like to hear exactly what she said.

4. Seems like they got her right. Here is the quote
http://thinkprogress.org/2010/02/07/palin-war-ira/

WALLACE: How hard do you think President Obama would be to defeat in 2012?

PALIN: It depends on a few things, say he played — I got this from Buchanan — say he played the war card. Say he decided to declare war on Iran or decide to really come out and do whatever he could to support Israel–which I would like him to do. That changes the dynamics of what we can assume will happen between now and three years. Because I think if the election were today, Obama would not be elected.

WALLACE: You’re not suggesting that Obama would cynically play the war card?

PALIN: I’m not suggesting that, I’m saying if he did, things would dramatically change if he decided to toughen up and do all that he can to secure our nation and secure our allies. I think people would shift their thinking a bit.

13. There is a 0% chance of me voting for Obama if he ever decides to play the "war card" against Iran.
Thankfully, as ridiculously discouraged I've been over the past year, I still believe that Obama would not do that at this time in our nation's history.

I can not believe that idiot is on the record as wanting to attack Iran. How does she have any sizable number of supporters?

9. The entire interview is here
http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/ if you can stomach it. She did indeed suggest that Obama could guarantee another four years if he played the "war card." She is indeed a dangerous woman.

7. yeah, because playing the war card
sure worked for Dumbya! He will go down as one of the worst presidents in history.

If Obama does indeed attack Iran, or anyone else -- it will ensure he is a one-term President, and that he may not even get the Democratic nomination.

Note to Obama: Listen to Sarah Palin, and always do the exact OPPOSITE of what she says you should do.

8. She is using some very sophisticated writers.
If he doesnt ramp up, he is proving that he as she states. If he does ramp up, for WHATEVER REASON, she takes full credit for moving him. In the meantime, it brings up the whole repukes being more trustworthy in warstuff.

They are going to use her fat mouth, to spew anything they want, they need not prove any of it, as she gets belligerent, and her fans love it. So, to go further, her custom Fox News studio, in her livingroom, will become the way for her to suggest the right way for us to go, and then, take credit for forcing him. And if anyone acknowledges her, her stature goes up. I guess they are tryong to make her the hillbilly oracle of delphi.

20. Wow, A Right Winger Actually Discussing Declaring War As A Political Gambit...Out Loud!
We know that Republicans declare wars for political advantage, but for one to actually advocate it is amazing. But, we all know the media will give them a free pass.

23. Ironic that she'd cite Buchanan, since she favors war with Iran.
In his Human Events column, he comes out strongly against war with Iran, as always he does.

24. Truly Shocking
Its shocking that a loose cannon like this could be given serious airtime.
The main complaint that I have against Barack Obama's administration is that miliary action continues at its present pace. I had hoped for more peaceful solutions. However, I understand that he inherited a mess.

Unfortunately, many Americans are so stupid in their knowledge about other countries. Iran is no Iraq. If we ever get tangled up there, we will all feel the pain.

You have to remember that Sarah Palin was chosen by neocons. She's their girl.
