Are conservative working class people being prepared by RW pundits for VIOLENCE against liberals?
After hearing so many years of Limbaugh's, O'Reilly's, Beck's and others' rantings, I am
getting the feeling that the listeners/fans of those venomous bigmouths are being, step-by-step,
prepared, GROOMED, to do VIOLENCE against others who they perceive as liberal/"socialist", in coming years?

Could our conservative neighbors eventually become our MURDERERS?

I see strains of this also in some extreme RW Christian groups and their "philosophy" of
a "warrior-Jesus" (see also the film, "Jesus Camp" for a similar outlook,
being peddled to children, no less!).

Perhaps I am being alarmist.(?)

Or perhaps, America won't need a Gestapo---Our fellow-citizens
may take THAT duty unto themselves!?

Could it happen HERE?

1. You're not being alarmist. It's why I keep all my guns cleaned.
And no, I am not kidding. You don't have to be a gun nut to have a strong sense of self preservation.

15. The guy that points the gun at me is nuts, but by then it's too late.
Kona, really if they want to play with guns I guess that's the play they make. And, I'll do what I have to do. And, there's a little note on my DD214 that says I do it pretty well. Now some may say that my car that has it's back window framed in Obama stickers might be baiting, but to me, I'm just exercising my rights.

Thank goodness for AR .223 and the mandatory hunting accessories known as the 35 round magazine and those handy 1K round boxes. And for close work theres the 5 rnd semi 12 ga. And the neatest backup Marlin 17 rnd semi 22LR (love it). I really don't care for handguns.

Now I'm not paranoid, but I don't intend to be they guy they said ended up dead for being unarmed.

We on the same page?

I don't have all your cool gear, but my Bulgarian AK, Makarov 9mm (vintage!) and a few other goodies keep me in shape. I do OK for non-military.

2. Like the guy who shot up a Unitarian Church in Tennessee?
He was on a crusade against liberals. July 27, 2008, Knoxville. Killed two people.

It already happened in that incident. It could indeed happen in greater numbers.

But I bet it'll happen nonetheless. You are not being an alarmist. We have been demonized and dehumanized by these hateful people for years now. It's only a matter of time. And those who stirred up such destructive, murderous, insane frenzies will get all eyelash-batty and righteously indignant and insist they had nothing to do with it. On the contrary. They'll have had EVERYTHING to do with it.

They're perfectly fine with torturing people because their anger and hatred knows no bounds, as long as others do it. It's not too hard to imagine them feeling that hate towards anyone not like them. History is full of such things.

They're angry, and rightfully so. The working class in this country has been thoroughly fucked over for 30 years now, by Democrats and Republicans alike. The only ones talking to them at all are con-men like Rush Limbaugh.

Of course the rhetoric is going to be aggressive. These people are rightfully pissed off.

21. Our rulers LOVE chaos out amongst the Riff-Raff.
You bet the rhetoric from the leading right wing personalities has led and will lead to violence and death against liberals.

ANYTHING that INCREASES chaos, fear, and instability will be aggressively promoted by the right wing in this country (some of whom are Democrats).

They will do everything they can to prevent working class liberals and conservatives from coming together.

called for those people to go to the house and get "in the face" of the Democratic representatives. Now you know darn well she fired people up and they might do more than get in people's face.

By the way she sure is quiet lately. I do know that 15 or 20 people filed a complaint with CREW and the House ethic committee. Maybe she is afraid they will come after her.

28. Yes. It really doesn't matter if they're doing it intentionally or not...
...they're mainstreaming rhetoric which used to be the stuff of small violent fringe groups.

Dave Neiwert (of Crooks & Liars and Orcinus) calls it "eliminationist" rhetoric. He has covered this for years and written about it at length about this series on Orcinus:
Eliminationism in America
http://dneiwert.blogspot.com/2006/12/eliminationism-in-america-i.html

and in his book published about a year ago:
The Eliminationists: How Hate Talk Radicalized the American Right
http://www.amazon.com/Eliminationists-Hate-Radicalized-American-Right/dp/0981576982/orcinus-20/

Of course, being "prepped" for violence doesn't make it inevitable, but it does raise the chances of something really bad happening (on top of things that have already happened).

31. "You are an alarmist"
From They Thought They Were Free: The Germans, 1933-35
"And you are an alarmist. You are saying that this must lead to this, and you can’t prove it. These are the beginnings, yes; but how do you know for sure when you don’t know the end, and how do you know, or even surmise, the end? On the one hand, your enemies, the law, the regime, the Party, intimidate you. On the other, your colleagues pooh-pooh you as pessimistic or even neurotic. You are left with your close friends, who are, naturally, people who have always thought as you have.

since 1980 and if you have not been paying attention then you will end up a causality.

The GOP and their demented supporters have one goal and that is to establish a christian theocracy to control the sheep with a fascist government really running things.

That is their version of America.
