IF Repubs Boycott Obama's Summit On Healthcare, HE SHOULD CALL THEM OUT BY NAME....
President Obama has done everything possible to bring Repubs to the table to work in a bipartisan manner without success.

He needs to name the absent Republicans and tell the American People this has been the response of Republicans to every overture --they just want to see every initiative proposed by the White House and Congress FAIL.

It would be a nice transition to using reconciliation to pass some urgently needed legislation WITHOUT REPUBLICANS.

1. I want their names on a billboard
the only way to deal with these obstructionists is to show them for who they are...

I also say, call their bluff on filibuster in the Senate. That would really give dems something to run on next time around... have these jerks have to stand up and say "no no no" just like they've been trained to do. Who will look like the party that wants to get something done then?

3. Better yet he should stop pandering to the right.
Though, I'll admit - I'm assuming his political strategy is to keep embarrassing the GOP by highlighting its obstructionism.

That's great as long as they continue to refuse to participate in government. But when they do participate, so far they usually seem to get what they want from this administration in the form of concessions. That's a problem.

4. I am hoping that is what he plans on doing
I hope he is extending this offer with full expectations that they will boycott or disrupt the meeting for which he will expose their actions.

5. Empty chairs with their names on them.
The President calls it closing the loop. I think that means showing America that republicans don't want to govern so he/we are free to strike a deal without them. If you ask someone to dance and they say no - its not your fault they are a wallflower.
