I wish Obama would challenge the Republicans to a half day one-on-one debate

To the Republicans: Pick your champion from among your ranks and let's do this.
One single topic: HCR

Refereed journal entries and certified analysis may be presented for support, but only one speaker may present.
5 min each speaker marathon. Support crews may provide coaching during the non-speaking interval.

This would be great. It has to be long enough for the population to see and have it ground in that the Republicans have no feasible ideas.

The only consequences would be the response of the voters.

I know that this is a lot like asking somebody else to fight my battle, but ... so what?

1. The American people are too fucking stupid to be convinced by a debate - it would merely

feed into the prejudice that most have; i.e., denigrating intellect and knowledge.

The puke would have sound bites and bumper sticker slogans that would "connect" with most of our fellow citizens, at least, those who would actually pay attention. Those who didn't watch are not even that smart.

Obama would come off, and be spun as, an intellectual elite type who is talking down to the regular "folks."

We are past time for words.

Obama and the Dems must take action and do something positive. Do a lot positive.

Actions, not words.
