What would happen if the MONEY RAN OUT...?

I got yet another petition this morning

Usually I delete a lot of these because I am just so *over* the damn bickering over HCR and the wars and everything else that we try to get done to FIX this mess...


Anyway, It caught my attention because the title was "What if it was YOUR last check" and ya, it scares me.
And the reality of my personal situation of hanging by a thread became a little too clear. If it wasn"t for the good graces of my govt, I would be in a bad way myself right now. not a fun thing to think about.
so here is the petition...it has to do with millions of people facing the end of unemployment benefits this month.

Even though we know we are out of money -
could you imagine how much would hit the fan if these benefits and tanf and the like RAN OUT?

(but the real thing that gets me even more is the wave of rage and indignance that I feel when I think about WHO is really CONTROLLING all this. to hell with redistribution of wealth...we just need to screw them and their consumer based economy that actually consumes US. We can go back to the earth and become susainable within our communities and screw them and their greed, we will barter! That's the new revolution! ...and I am only partially joking)

so here was what I tagged on the end of the form letter to send:

*PS* I have been unemployed for over a year, and while I don't qualify for unemployment, we are on TANF & foodstamps. Without this aid, myself and my 3 kids would be is a similar situation....facing homelesness & hunger. I am scared for myself, but really full of sadness at the plight of many others who have it much worse than I do.
There is no such thing as a "jobless recovery" and the bankers and top 2% of our population are holding all the monopoly money. Where is the sustainability in THAT setup?

Help us, We the People are in dire straits....

I am amazed this dropped like a stone... so either everyone here has "got theirs" and is not worried about the little guy...or many here actually ARE the little guy and are so hopeless they have no response?

Food stamps, TANF and other programs are being used to pacify the masses.
People deserve so much more. They deserve jobs and opportunities to live
healthy, productive lives. While these programs provide the bare essentials
to live, we can't become so beaten down we accept this as "the good graces"
of our government. Our government has stolen from us and failed us miserably.
