Why the hell is Paterson so determined to stick it out?
The guy has approval ratings hovering around 30%. over 70% of dems support Cuomo over him. New rumors about affairs and drugs are popping up practically daily? He was an accidental governor anyway.

What on earth is he trying to prove?

He's somehow convinced that his accidental elevation to governor was some sort of divine intervention to let him impose his ideas on the state. He'll get the message at the ballot box.
