As long as Republicans stick with their no on everything at all cost, nothing is going to get done. Once they relent, even just a little bit, then their entire strategy will no longer exist. That is why Obama is trying so hard to get them to support just one thing he does..After they break down and do support one thing such as tax cuts or tort reform or whatever then their wall of resistance is gone..Obama has not abandoned the Democrats, he is just attacking from another angle..

1. My confidence will be restored when and if he cracks them
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he does have a date that's very soon when he makes recess appointments and embraces reconciliation - both.

He'll have to "show me" before I take one more thing on faith.

3. I just don't believe that they
want that Republican nut cracked. They have gone along with them on too much that they haven't had to.

4. I hope you're right, but...
I think once the Republican nut is cracked the Dem leadership will be falling all over themselves to become the new corporate establishment party. That's where all the money and power is. They remind me of the pigs in Animal Farm.

6. I think you are dreaming
Why wouldn't they go back to their strategy once they get some of what they want?
