Did Anybody In The Chicago Area Feel Another Earthquake Sunday Evening At.....
around 10:50pm? My friend lives in Elk Grove Village, IL and the cat went wild and jumped up on me with her tail fully bushy. I thought at first it was the cat running that we felt - but for a few seconds after that things shook and then finally settled down. Now I don't know if there was a quake or an aftershock from the last one - or we were just imagining. I didn't feel the one the other day - but my friend did and she indicated that this felt very much the same.

I listened to the news and nothing was reported - but we did feel something.

and they usually have them up pretty quickly: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsus/

I've been hooked on this USGS site since the 2008 Illinois Earthquake. :)

3. On the serious side, you are on or very near the
New Madrid fault line which has been quiet for a couple of hundred years. It is due for some re-adjustment.

5. Back in 1975 ot 76 we had an earthquake
in the Chicago area. I was asleep. It moved the bed and it scared the bejebbers out of me. My husband said it was a truck going down the street. But later we found out it was a quake. And then the aftershock rattled the cabinet were our dishes were. At the time you don't know but it sure it scary afterward. And by the way..animals are susceptible, our small dog jumped into the middle of the dinning room table. Something he had never done before.

6. Nope...Not A Thing
I'm real close to Elk Grove...I felt the quake last week, nothing tonight. Maybe it's Scott Lee Cohen and another of his girlfriends having a smackdown.

8. I was awake for that 3:50am one a few days ago.
Felt it, heard it, it woke up the dogs. Sounded like a jet right on top of the house. Things were shaking around inside, too.
