Poll question: Do you?
This isn't anything to do with the worth or validity of the rec/unrec feature here (I like it), but just a question to see if I am like or unlike most here in their clicking habits.

Me? I'll rec a post that I agree with or like and pretty much ignore the rest.n To date, I only recall unreccing one post.

1. I believe I have used rec once and unrec once.
It is not that important to me.

2. Have accidently clicked the Unrec button twice because it is in
the location where the Rec button USE TO BE. That pissed me off, too. (I admit to being a creature of habit:) )

Now I find I don't do much recommending anymore for fear of another "accident".

I do not see a need for the Unrec selection. It's a toy for the immature in too many cases.

8. I think that
it's just part of being generally positive. If a thread is good, then promote it. If I don't like a thread, I'll just ignore it (or leave a snarky comment...my style). The whole "if you can't say something nice..." aspect maybe.

And I simply cannot believe you responded to me without a "my dear flvegan" Peggy.

think there should be a separate forum for threads on rec/unrec. :*

9. So theyre in one place
for convenient merriment.
Course I'm also for a forum for all locked threads,
and all tombstoned posters in a nice tidy daily list.

7. I use both many times a day.
Example: Suppose the OP is titled: "Important Information!" And the OP reads "I hate Glenn Beck!!"

I'll unrecommend it.

Suppose the source is a bad one.

I'll unrecommend it.

Suppose the topic is just another vanity thread.

I'll unrecommend it.

If it says "here's my take on ...."

I'll unrecommend it.

Any thread I bother to open will be recommended or unrecommended, depending on degree of substance or suckage.
