that your heart (and mine) does not come from a fellow DUer but is automatically generated as a fundraising ploy.

3. There are some people with no hearts.
I saved five of my hearts and gave them to people who did not have any. That is half the fun of this fundraiser.

4. True that. But I won't recant.
Without a doubt, random hearts are given in order to guilt donations. It's an old fundraising ploy. It's why churches pass the basket in public.
