As Long As The November (2010) Elections Look Bleak For Many,
if I was a senator or congressman, I'd do whatever I could and push through the most progressive, liberal, truly Democratic legislation I could, whatever it takes. In other words, I'd make the most of the time I had left to enact change, real change.
Actually, I wish more (Democratic) politicians would do this, and not worry about the next election.

13. Except LACK of Reforms is creating the unemployment now
Why loan money to small business who create jobs when you can play the market (manipulate the price of stocks) with it

You would have 1/2 as many jobless and homeless if the Wall St Reforms were put in place

You have to remember these are Wall St. BANKs they are wanting to regulate

2. Congress is no longer driven by the prospect of votes
They are only driven by the corporate interest which own them.

8. conservadems don't want to show strength: they want to give as much away as possible
while arguing that they face a tough election battle (because of their yo-yoing between lib and con positions), and so every vote or dollar you "withhold" brings the Teabag candidate closer to power, and every criticism on online forums threatens the country's very existence

a few minutes later, they'll tell you that only centrists like themselves are popular and can WIN(TM), and that reformers have 0% chance

10. !!!
The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those
who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners)
at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.

12. Would the "whatever I could" be reconciliation?
Wherever 51 votes gets a bill passed then it should be used.

17. That Would Be What JFK Called A 'Profile In Courage'...
which, in the modern era, have gone the way of the Dodo Bird.

I agree completely... but don't expect it.

After all... they don't want to mess up their future lobbying gig.
