Seriously. Is this what is passing for journalism these days?

A Democrat in CA doesn't want the POTUS to campaign in his district; McCain has a rw challenger; Bayh be retiring.

That is what qualifies as a swing to rw fascist policies? They are trying so hard to make the case that America is a right of center country.

Not one progressive pundit is out there challenging this media circus. no, let me correct that: They don't even bother acknowledging the existence of the progressive/liberal voices in this country. It's as though a pissant tiny minority of racist, ignorant people, the teabaggers, are worthy of respect and coverage and the rest of us just aren't really living here.

What do you think? Is the US right of center? Are Democratic Socialists/Liberals just being eerily quiet or have they abandoned the Party? Will the lack of financial security and homelessness wipe out significant support for the Democratic Party? People who are busy surviving may not have the means, energy or even meet residency requirements to vote. Wipe out the middle class and bingo they win. Is this now the inevitable endgame?

The pundit chatter just unnerved me tonight.

Look at this spin about the t-baggers. They infer that t-baggers don't like the bailout or deficits. One tiny aspect of a larger agenda of hatred and racism. But they don't address that big agenda. They speak to something many people found offensive: the bailout.

It's a whitewash of a group of very bad people with an ugly agenda.

In my opinion, the real America made of working people is center left.

It is only our Main Stream Corporate Pravda and our elected representatives in Washington that are leaning right right of center. Or is it leaning even farther towards totalitarian fascist police state right?
