Two co-worker friends of mine were murdered.
When officers arrived at the home at approximately 1:30 p.m. Sunday, they discovered a woman who had been shot dead and a man who had been gravely wounded, police said.

The victims have been identified as 45-year-old Julie Palasco and 49-year-old Dennis Koire.

Koire was rushed to the hospital in grave condition.

They were both longshoremen. News on the docks is Dennis didn't make it, he passed away in the hospital. His nick name on the docks was "Beetlejuice" because of the way he use to have his hair made him resemble Beetlejuice.

Julie and Dennis were both very kind people. Oh man you guys I can't tell you how tired I am of friends and family getting killed. During the last five years my father was murdered, three friends I went to school with and played with as kids were killed on the job (on the docks) and now this. Even beyond five years ago I've had a cousin of mine and his girlfriend gunned down, and another cousin commit suicide. My nerves are shot.

I am sorry if my posts on DU have been harsh or insensitive or angry sounding in any way. Its just it seems I've forgotten how to act with all that's been going on with the world and all this sudden death hitting me so close to home. I just can't take this anymore. This sucks so bad.

Sorry for venting this out. Its just I am so tired of this.

I just got home. Think I'll go to bed and get some sleep.

Xicano

3. sad to hear this
I have had a few people I know murdered as well by freaks with guns. :(

It sickens me to this day.

It is the sort of thing you never quite get over and yes, it spills over into all aspects/attitudes in our lives.

I pray that your friends are in a better place. That is about all I can say to you.

I don't know anyone who's had that much violence in their life outside of Iraq.

17. Heavens! There are no words sufficient to express...
how very sorry I am for your losses--especially from such tragic violence. I won't cite platitudes or anti-violence messaging, but I pray for comfort to come your way (and a long peaceful period in your community).

So sorry that you've born the brunt of senseless violence.

The world needs to change in so many ways... this being one of them. Hang in there... please.

25. Our culture is getting meaner and
meaner. And it's difficult not to get angry at it and with it. I'm so sorry for your losses.

I wish folks would focus that meanness and anger at who is responsible....the banksters and the Super Wealthy.

Please take care of yourself.

Sometimes I think I'm all alone. When I speak to others, it's as if I'm speaking a foreign language.

Again....take good care of yourself.

28. I'm sorry for your loss.
These other DUers are great people who showed empathy for my workplace, when my co-worker was murdered last year.

BTW: The cops never found the assailant.

Hopefully your cops can find this one.

35. I wanna thank everyone for your kind thoughts.
Sorry for venting, its something I normally don't do in public. Its just when something like this hits home almost every year for several years I guess it builds up where you just have to vent. I some times read some of my own posts and I can tell there's pent up anger and sadness and catch myself doing little things that are not normally in my character like losing my patience in traffic and feeling angry. That's just not me normally.

So if I've been a pain to anyone in any of my posts I apologize. To be honest I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my two dogs. They actually give more than I would of thought. They are so smart. They know when I've had a bad day and its cute to see them try to cheer me up. LOL they're looking at me right now with a "c'mon its late go to be already".

Anyway, I am rambling. Again, I wanna thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.

Xicano.
