New CNN poll on Presidential approval
Edited on Tue Feb-16-10 01:50 PM by ohiodemocratic
This one conducted Feb. 12-15.

Very different than Gallup, for some reason. I don't get the discrepancy since both polls use a sample of adults instead of LV or RV. in Gallup Obama has an approval about 12% higher than disapproval. On the other hand, CNN has this:

Obama Job Approval
49% Approve, 50% Disapprove

Why the difference?

See the PDF with the poll info: http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/02/16/rel4a.pdf

7. These "polls" are using what measurement for proof?

I've never been called by a MSM station. I have been called by Gallup etc.

Yet "Lil Chuck tells us that CNN is the most trusted poll in the world....

14. Usually network 'polls'...
are simply interested viewers checking in by internet or phone-one of the most unscientific polls you can get. Not just useless, actually counter productive.

4. Because...
For a news outlet having a highly popular President makes it hard to play up controversy therefore show him as being even or in negative territory plays better for their needs.

5. Depends on the methodology used. Who are they asking? What amount of Dems and Repubs?
I would say the approval for Obama about 50% but who knows with the disapproval? It is different in every poll I have seen.

16. 49% with almost 10% unemployment is pretty darn good. As the economy improves so will Obama's
numbers.
