Rep. Apologizes For Sex Accusations
Rep. apologizes for sex accusations

Nashua Telegraph
Wednesday, February 17, 2010
By KEVIN LANDRIGAN and MICHAEL BRINDLEY

CONCORD – State Rep. Nancy Elliott, R-Merrimack, apologized Tuesday and withdrew her claim that gay sex was being taught to fifth graders in Nashua public schools.

“I would like to apologize to the Judiciary Committee, the Nashua public schools and its employees and the speaker as well as anyone else affected by what I said,’’ Elliott said, reading from a prepared statement at the beginning of a House Judiciary Committee meeting. “I will try much harder in the future to verify fully my statement.”

Despite the apology, Elliott maintained she believed what she said was true at the time.

Elliott’s comments were made during a Judiciary Committee hearing last week for a bill, HB1590, that would repeal same-sex marriage. She said she had been told by a parent that fifth graders in Nashua had been shown pictures of naked men and taught how to engage in anal sex.

- Well at least we can take away from this episode in ignorance and rank stupidity that we've come to expect from the Republicans, her solemn promise to "try harder next time." Harder how? To understand the difference from when she just making shit up or she's actually hearing something other than the voices that are normally constantly screaming in her soft head. Apologize? What a load of excrement.

RESIGN.

1. She's a republican. No explanation is necessary.
It's what they do.

Lie, and then lie some more.

2. I think she meant to say "lie harder" the next time.
I'd tell her to shove it up her arse but it might appear I have an "agenda".

4. One must now wonder.....
...that if her "story" wasn't true... and if she didn't make it up.... then where'd she get such vivid details?

- Was she just projecting??

9. About that photo in the OP...
Is that sign a joke? Aside from the lunacy expressed in those words, it looks professionally-made; even the words are all spelled correctly. Besides, I wouldn't expect most freepers/teabaggers/fundies to know about Alan Turing or his role in cracking the Enigma code.

10. I saw it posted originally.....
...at Bartcop.com and the brand says that it hails from the PunditKitchen.com website.

- And now that you mention it, it does have suspiciously correct spelling and legibility for a Teabagger, doesn't it? Hmmmmm.....

13. I've seen some mass-produced signs at teabagger rallies
that were undoubtedly paid for with Dick Armey's astroturf insurance-lobby funds. The sign in the OP looks as though some effort went into its layout. I'm betting a computer was used at some point, unless there's some wealthy corporate contribute comprised entirely of luddites of which I'm unaware.

When the phone calls and the emails start coming in. If they want to keep their job that is.

Accountability can be a real PITA some times.

12. Well at least we have the.....
...pleasure of knowing that her fifteen minutes will forever be associated with excrement. Even Andy would be pleased.

- Being that she's Republican, whatever else could her 15 minutes be???

15. The only way for that to happen....
....she'd be the one to have to go into the closet.

- But it's a start.
