have proven the need for a new constitutional amendment.

The unprecedented fiscal recklessness of Bushco,

even worse than Reagan has nearly,

SEALED OUR NATIONS FATE.

Our dollar, our economy, may never recover from the national debt accumulated by the Reagan and Bush tax cuts.

Tax cuts have proven and are still proving to be an economic and jobs killer.

Bush cut taxes in 2003. What followed for the remainder of the decade was ZERO NET JOB GROWTH for the decade of the 2000's.

Bush more than doubled our national debt.

Reagan and Bushco's tax cuts are two events in American history where the wealthy plundered the underclasses.

The Bush tax cuts were nothing more than a gigantic redistribution of wealth from the middle class and poor upward to the super wealthy.

An UNSPOKEN goal of Republicans - to further shift the burden of taxation from the wealthy elite to the poor.

A policy like that can only come from the mind of a Fascist.

Bushco's presidency proved that cutting taxes is a nation killer.

The American empire is crumbling because of the Bush tax cuts of 2003.

To protect America from these dangerous Republican policies there can only be 1 solution.

Proposed constitutional amendment....

A two-thirds super-majority in the US House and the US Senate is required to lower income taxes in America.

3. It has been told that when Reagan discovered the American people
would be up in arms if he messed with SS; he quipped OK, then
we will just "starve the beast". What he meant was if you
cut taxes(less money goes to government) and cut spending,
you will eventually cut down to the bone. Reach a point
where you have to say to the people. Folks, we have to get
rid of this program--we have no money here to use.

Cut Taxes + Cut Spending = Smaller Government and the
GOP will celebrate the end of the NEW DEAL and LBJ Programs.
Some DLCers and Centrists drank the Reagan Kool-Aid, I fear.

11. This is dead straight up the heart of it all.
Gingrich was/is a fervant believer of that creed. If you cut off the head, the body will die. There is no strong FDR to reverse the trend yet. This has been going on for almost 3 decades. They deliberately dried up manufacturing by allowing US corporations to offshore their labor force. We were told to pursue higher tech jobs with additional education. But, they knew all the time that the cost of education was far too expensive for the majority of us. They talk of more Pell grants, as if that realistically makes a dime's worth of difference.

The friggin Teasackers are scared aplenty. They are just too ashamed that they put their faith in Reagan's big lie and don't know whether to shit or go blind these days.

One thing is certain. There was one brief time in American history when one President stood up to Wall St and the bankers. The great American middle class was born. The big pockets have been steadily tearing down the New Deal programs since overturning large Democratic House majorities. The new Democrats either lack the courage or conviction to directly challenge their power as FDR did. "and I welcome their hatred." FDR

4. I would add that no tax can be regressive like Social Security is.
people who make more than the cap actually pay a lower percentage of their income into SS than those who make below the poverty line.

6. bump
To me, this is very important. I dont want to pay taxes more than anyone else, but I also recognize that to function in a civilized society we need certain basic infrastructure and services (hospitals, schools, fire dept., sanitation, etc.) that are provided by the gov't with our tax dollars. You cut the tax base, and all of the foregoing will eventually end up on the chopping block when the gov'ts have to "cut costs" to offset the lost income.

Let the reckless Bush tax cuts sunset as they were designed to do, and tack on another 15-20% to the highest bracket, or those earning more than $X (say 250,000k).

Whatever... but this continued bullshit from republicans will but our country on the course to a 3rd world country (if we're not already on that path).
