Fascinating Split in the Freepbagger Ranks Over Joe Stack
Edited on Thu Feb-18-10 07:28 PM by That Is Quite Enough
Today, I've witnessed teabaggers

A) Proclaiming him to be a 'martyr' who died for freedom and delivered 'the first shots of the Second Civil War'

and

B) He was a 'communist libtard' who was anti-religious, socialist/marxist/communist and was working for Obama's secret police to discredit the ever so noble Teabagger (astroturf) campaign AND DESTROY CAPITALISM (seriously)

What makes it even better is that neither of these viewpoints are close to being right, and I've witnessed my knuckle-dragging acquaintances fighting over whether to idolize or execrate him. There's some more I want to add about this whole FUBAR situation, but I'm waiting to make a more full-fledged thread later. This is just a rather interesting observation in my opinion.

5. Got it from 2 places: some acquaintances IRL, and online diatribes, of course
If you're looking for some absolutely ignorant, revolting statements head over to any conservative forum (preferably one more geared towards the conspiracy theory or 'birther' crowd) today and you'll see a pretty good sized crowd cheering this wealthy CHUD as some sort of revolutionary who was fighting socialism.

You'll also find plenty of the 'secret communist police' argument, too. The forums I've monitored/trolled today have been mixed bags, but they're all still overflowing with teh stupid.

3. Stack was a coward.
and if HE is the person who splits the right, then so be it. He certainly wasn't good for anything else.

12. No. He Wasn't.
I remember Bush declaring that 9/11 was a "cowardly" act. The criminals who hijacked those planes, just like Stack, might have been a lot of things - Criminally insane, evil, misguided, unhinged etc. etc.
But cowards they were not.
McVeigh was a coward. Kaczynski was a coward. But what makes Stack a "coward" in your eyes? I'm not defending him or his actions, mind you, but the guy willingly sacrificed his own life. A dangerous fruitcake, obviously. But demonstrably not a coward.

13. Sometimes "sacrificing" your own life is a cowardly act.
Particularly when you insist on taking innocent people with you. There is nothing brave about doing that.

... what they think about this. It would be cute, if they were all two-year-olds. As adults, it's just pathetic.

for the victims in this but I seriously think that there is something in the water of the conservative base that creates kooks who lash out at the US government.
