But, devil's advocate here... While it would not normally make a difference, it is Coulter, after all, so I am going to ask. How do we know that Coulter is not a transgender? Where did those rumours come from?

21. There are plenty of pictures around of her as a young woman, old school records, etc.
I'm assuming people joke about it because she's so weirdly proportioned, but as far as I can tell by looking she's just way too skinny.

But she's not transgendered....and the "jokes" about her being a man got old many years ago.

Some people who wouldn't think of using "gay" as a put down of a straight person, apparently still find it humorous or clever to call women they don't like "a man" or former man.

Coulter is execrable but there are plenty of factual ways of excoriating her that don't involve using transgendered folks as a punchline or slur.

I didn't watch or see Olbermann either and was able to find out what happened easily enough without starting my own thread about it.
