And now 4chan's Opinion on NBC's Coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

NBC refuses to apologize for crappy coverage and hoarding all but curling and hockey on one channel, calls anyone who streams a pirate even though no one is pirating NBC's signal:

http://www.boston.com/sports/columnists/wilbur/2010/02/nbc_no_apology.html

If Russia or somewhere else has a problem with more viewers seeing more of their footage with their sponsors getting more viewers for their commercials, it's their problem, not NBC's.

I took NBC's response as very patronizing. They're not even trying to stream more events live nor are they even trying to show more events across their other channels, and they insult you by saying "greater good" and trying to label anyone who disagrees as a pirate.

I can only pray that in 2012 they lose the rights forever.

I live in Canadian and I really do feel bad for you Americans that have to put up with NBC's bullshit. We have CTV here and they show the Olympics 24/7 on like three different channels, all showing different events.

Anonymous 02/19/10(Fri)14:49 No.3378364

Wow, watching a stream of the BBC coverage is pirating? Even though no NBC networks are showing any sort of Olympic coverage while I'm watching said stream? Are they serious?

Anonymous 02/19/10(Fri)14:52 No.3378413

NBC logic:
seeing something they don't show, won't show when they edit down 90% of it for prime time or won't show at all in any capacity, therefore lost no money from broadcasting and commercials = piracy.

Those assholes need to lose the rights FOREVER. They're scum that goes beyond words.

Anonymous 02/19/10(Fri)14:58 No.3378522

The same people who think Jay Leno is funny are the same people who love watching the Olympics on tape delay.

Anonymous 02/19/10(Fri)15:06 No.3378632

I just turned it on.

And you fucking know they won't be showing the other American's or the Russian's fantastic performances, they'll have a fucking interview and cut to Super-G skiing briefly.

Anonymous 02/19/10(Fri)15:08 No.3378656

It is getting high ratings but it's still pissing p
During the day they tape-delay and edit events down tot he top finishers, then show it in Prime time.

During prime time, while live events are gong on, they show the tape-delayed shit from the day, plus lots of Bob Costas with more Bob Costas added in just in case someone missed him. That means less live coverage in prime time, so half the events are tape-delayed until late night when no one wno's fucking normal is awake, and the other half events only cut in live when Americans are winning.

2. I think it's hilarious that people think commercials are something new
Does ANYONE take 4chan's opinion seriously? I sure hope not.

That said, today I've been watching Curling on CNBC and MSNBC and I've seen virtually no commercials. Just a quick 10 second break between ends.

It's now a universal truth that the Internet will complain about anything and everything.

amberlamps belongs exclusively to /b/ and even though I've transformed into a /b/tard despite being on 4chan for two years avoiding /b/, /b/ is mostly shit. As for desu, that's a old retired meme.
